Gift a Child a Dream
“Gift a Child a Dream” is a structured initiative designed to support children from orphanages and shelters in making a conscious choice about their future and accessing their first real opportunities for professional development. The programme moves beyond aspiration — helping children not only to dream, but to define a clear direction and take tangible steps towards it.
At the core of the initiative is guided self-discovery. Children work alongside mentors and volunteers to develop a deeper understanding of their interests, abilities, and intrinsic motivation. They articulate their aspirations, explore potential professions and skills, and bring these ideas to life through creative and practical exercises. This approach not only uncovers each child’s potential, but also translates it into realistic and actionable pathways for growth.
Based on these individual aspirations, the project team curates tailored opportunities for every participant. In collaboration with business and educational partners, children are offered internships, practical training, and applied learning formats that provide their first exposure to professional environments. Through this experience, they gain an understanding of real working conditions, build foundational skills, and take their first steps towards independence.
The initiative reached children who previously had limited access to quality career guidance and hands-on education. Nearly 1,000 participants of Together’s programmes went on to begin their studies or gain their first professional experience in their chosen field — a critical step towards financial independence and long-term social integration.
For many participants, “Gift a Child a Dream” became a defining starting point in their journey of professional self-determination — opening access to education, mentorship, and real career opportunities.
