“Safe Home” — a temporary shelter for mothers and children affected by domestic violence
“Safe Home” is a project initiated and implemented by the Together Charity Foundation to create and sustain a safe residential environment alongside a comprehensive support system for mothers and children affected by domestic violence.
From the very first days of arrival, we provide psychological support, legal assistance, and access to educational opportunities — laying the foundation for recovery and a new beginning.
The Centre opened it’s door on April 28, 2021. The facility accommodates up to 10 women with children at a time and includes five residential rooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a shared living space — a fully equipped environment designed for safe recovery.
The length of stay is up to 90 days. During this time, women and children receive a full continuum of care — from crisis response to emotional stabilisation, rebuilding internal resilience, and preparing for independent living.
The project goes beyond addressing the immediate need for safe housing. It creates the conditions for a structured and supported transition out of crisis — with guidance, continuity of care, and a clear pathway forward.
We are currently working on scaling this model across other regions of Ukraine and implementing the Safe Corners format in schools and libraries as additional access points for vulnerable groups — expanding support to where it is needed most.
