Opening of a Specialized Sanitary Facility for Children with Cerebral Palsy
Together Empowerment and Rehabilitation Center delivered the creation of a specialized sanitary facility for children with cerebral palsy (CP) at the St. Nicholas Multidisciplinary Educational and Rehabilitation Centre (Bryukhovychi, Lviv region) — addressing a critical infrastructure gap that directly impacts the quality of life of children with disabilities.
The space was designed with full consideration of the children’s physical needs. Together led and delivered the entire process — from renovation works to the installation of specialized equipment, including lifting systems, height-adjustable changing tables, support rails, and safe flooring.
All solutions follow accessibility and barrier-free design principles, ensuring that both children and teenagers with varying levels of mobility can use the space safely and comfortably. The facility is fully integrated into the institution’s infrastructure, providing daily access to those who rely on it.
The opening of the facility was marked by a dedicated event for the children: dozens of participants joined a celebration with food and activities, making the day not only an important infrastructure milestone, but also a meaningful and positive experience.
This project reflects Together’s approach — identifying critical needs and turning them into tangible, lasting solutions. It contributes to building an inclusive environment where children are met with dignity, safety, and care.
