Supporting Weekly Meals for People Experiencing Homelessness
For more than ten years, Together has been a trusted partner and friend of Emmaus-Oselya Mutual Aid Centre, regularly supporting its weekly hot meal distributions for people experiencing homelessness. For decades, this initiative has provided a consistent source of support for individuals facing crisis and hardship.
We contributed through food supplies as well as direct participation in the organisation and delivery of distributions, supporting the Centre’s long-standing work. Since 2001, it has created an important space of care, dignity and practical assistance for those most in need.
Each time, this made it possible to provide hot meals for hundreds of people while also creating an environment where individuals received not only food, but attention, respect and kindness.
Alongside meals, we helped provide essential hygiene items and shared information about available social services, helping people navigate daily challenges.
This is an example of partnership in action: a local initiative with a long history strengthened through shared commitment, so that more people can receive the support they need regularly and with dignity.
