Валерія Никифорець інтегрувала місію Beauty with a Purpose у конкурси краси в Україні

In 2009, she founded Miss Lviv — the first new-generation beauty pageant in Ukraine, which evolved into a social platform. Within this framework, young women used the power of their beauty, visibility, and voice as tools for real impact — driving change in their communities and supporting those in need.

Participants were not simply competing — they became initiators and leaders of social projects addressing real societal challenges, supporting vulnerable groups, and delivering tangible impact. Many of these initiatives later scaled into larger projects and formed the foundation of systemic programmes implemented through Together. In 2012, the special award “Miss Kind Heart” was introduced to recognise genuine contribution to social work. This marked a pioneering shift in Ukraine, where beauty pageants had previously lacked any structured social dimension.

Through this work, Valerie Nykyforets redefined the very nature of beauty pageants in Ukraine — transforming them from purely aesthetic competitions into platforms for social impact. She created an environment where beauty is inseparable from responsibility, and public visibility becomes a resource for change.

This approach laid the foundation for a new culture of participation — where visibility and opportunity are not used for self-promotion, but as instruments of leadership, impact, and real action.
